Who are we?
Julien Picault, Ph. D.
I am an economics educator at UBC Okanagan. I did my doctoral studies at HEC Montreal, and I am currently teaching various economics courses, including Industrial Organization, Cost-Benefit Analysis, and Women in the economy. My research interests are in Economics Pedagogy, Labour Economics and, Industrial Organization.
Chidera Kingsley-Emu, Student
Chidera Kingsley-Emu is a final year student of Economics at UBC Okanagan. Her interests include public speaking and intersectional feminism. She is passionate about business management and development. In her spare time, she loves to read fictional Nigerian fantasy and mythology novels as well as fictional Greek mythology novels.
Kathleen Lortie, Student
Kathleen Lortie is a fourth-year student at UBC Okanagan, with a major in Economics, Philosophy, and Political Science. Interest within her studies include international law and algorithmic bias. Outside of the classroom, Kathleen is passionate about debate, public speaking, and true-crime.
Miranda Sampson, Student
Miranda Sampson is in her 4th and final year studying Economics at UBCO. She is passionate about studying criminology and consumer decision-making. Whenever she is not working or studying, you can find her reading true crime novels, or hiking near bodies of water.
